Different user roles
This article offers an in-depth overview of the different user roles and access levels available in Corebook°. It explores all six roles, thoroughly explaining their unique functions and responsibilities within your brand guide. Whether you're managing permissions or assigning tasks, this guide ensures you understand how each role contributes to maintaining and organizing your brand identity effectively.
Brand Owner
The brand owner holds the highest level of authority within the project. They have full control over all aspects of the brand, including modifying global settings, inviting new users with lower access levels, assigning core administrators, handling user access requests, managing billing, and even deleting the entire project if needed.
Keep in mind that with great power comes great responsibility.
Core Admin
Core Admin serves as an Editor with enhanced access permissions. In addition to editing content, they can oversee brand settings, invite other editors, handle viewer requests, and create new viewer accounts. They act as a reliable partner, ensuring your brand stays updated and that access is properly managed.
However, Core Admin does not have the ability to manage billing details or delete projects. To promote Editor to Core Admin, click on the diamond icon next to their email address.
Editor
An editor is an user granted editing privileges, collaborating closely with other editors, core administrators, and brand owners. Their responsibilities include structuring layouts, refreshing content, and developing entirely new pages or sections. They play a key role in shaping the brand's visual identity, turning blank spaces into beautifully crafted, professional designs.
Viewer
Viewer users lack editing privileges and need to be invited to access brand guide content. Invitations can be sent by either a Core Admin or a Brand Owner. Alternatively, viewers can request access to specific pages or the entire brand guide when visiting a password-protected page or link.
Viewers are able to view content, navigate through the brand guide, and download attachments from the pages they are permitted to access.
Visitor
A visitor refers to anyone accessing publicly available content. Typically, this means the brand project does not have password protection enabled, or certain pages from a larger brand guide have been made public for convenient access.
Visitors do not require login credentials and do not occupy any user seats.
SSO Users (Starting from Brand Premium plan)
SSO users function as viewers with enhanced automation capabilities. The Brand Owner has established a whitelisted email domain, granting anyone within the organization master viewer access to the brand guide. This setup ensures that internal user management operates seamlessly and automatically.
SSO users do not have distinct markings in the brand settings.
